Where She Stands

Invest In Forsyth County's Future

Forsyth County was awarded approximately $74 million in COVID relief funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. Gloria will work to make sure that these funds are invested wisely: growing our local economy and improving lives in our communities.

Stengthen Our Schools

36% of Forsyth County's budget is spent on local schools. As a former School Board member, Gloria will ensure that students get the maximum benefit possible from these funds.

Fighting Addiction And the Opioid Crisis In Our County

Gloria is a reliable soldier in the fight against opioids and drug addiction. She supports programs like Stepping Up, a program for local women battling mental illness and addiction, and the Forsyth County Opioid Task Force, which brings together stakeholders to help fight addiction across the community.

Meet Gloria

"I remember how I got here and why I am here. I want to make everybody's life a little bit better"

Mother, Business Owner, and Public Servant

Customers in my shop used to constantly complain about the public schools. After my son Chad left for college, I decided to do something. I won my first campaign for School Board in 1990 with the help of my husband Curt.

It has been over 30 years since that first tiny, grassroots campaign. I am proud to have served Forsyth County ever since.

During my tenure, I have helped to improve the relationship between the School Board and the Board of Commissioners. I have also fought for responsible budgeting, and for programs like Stepping Up, which helps to improve the lives of women who have been recently incarcerated.
